Great root beer! Has a very unique flavor,the price is a bit high but it's worth it to have a soda made with natural ingredients.
Virgil's root beer is awesome tasting, Went on vacation 5 states away and tried it at a store. The price was higher than other beverages they had but I had to try it because I never heard of Virgil, and I loved the taste when I got home, I looked them up on internet found them and ordered. I quit drinking A&W and Mug's even though Virgil's cost a little more, well worth the good taste of a root beer.
I love the taste of these sodas! Plus they are zero sugar and calorie. Perfect evening drink for me!!!

Up until about two month's ago (July 2026) the Reed's Zero Sugar Extra Ginger Beer was the best on the market! We all agreed that it had a "bite" to it that was unmatched and the flavor was superb. Unfortunately, every four pack in recent months has tasted flat. My friends agree. It no longer stands alone and now seems ordinary. It still has flavor, but not the same and this is a shame, in my and others opinion
This used to be my absolutely favorite root beer. Cut back on soda, but with World Cup in the US and seeing videos of visitors trying root beer floats, it gave me a craving. Bought a 4-pack of cans (I remember bottles), poured it over vanilla ice cream, confused that this light-colored soda was coating the ice cream. Put in my straw and first sip was disappointment. It was a combination of overcarbonated, stevia-like sweetness with thin blandness. No longer does it have the rich bittersweet flavor I expected. You’ve lost me.
We found this soda at Giant and brought it there a few times, then it disappeared from the shelf. I now have it shipped to my home by the case because it's so good I want it available all the time. Great taste and not as much carbonation as many other sodas. We like the Vanilla Cream too!
Virgil’s Root Beer has an excellent, rich flavor and is one of the better root beers I’ve tried. The use of cane sugar really makes a difference, it gives it a cleaner, smoother taste than brands that use other sweeteners. Great flavor without being overly sweet. Definitely recommended.

I've been a cream soda fan for ages but everything was made with either corn syrup or artificial sweeteners until I discovered Virgil's! It's absolutely delicious (also their Ginger Ale is not to be missed)!!

Got these to reduce queasiness in stomach on the road to recovery from a sickness and ran across these, though you may only find them in the alcohol area of your store as it's sold as a condiment/mixer. It's non alcoholic so there is that.
What sold me was pure pressed ginger, the next ingredient to carbonated water, has Pineapple, Lemon/Lime flavors, pure cane sugar and not much more than that.
First sip, lots of flavor, can taste the ginger and many of the other flavors and is a delightful drink on its own and as some say, does help with queasy stomachs while ill (been sick) and will be something I'll buy again.
My local store informed me today of your décision to discontinue the zéro caloried ginger ale packs. Only individual packs at $1.79 are now available. Please bring back the packs or I will have to change brands.

Not sure who's terrible idea it was to change the recipe for this but it was a total failure. I used to buy the little kegs back in the day but had to stop drinking soda back in 2019 so it's been a while since I purchased soda. I wanted to treat myself the other day and saw this on the shelf at HEB so I got a 4 pack. I got it good and cold and the first taste was like drinking chemicals and not good ones. I looked at the label and saw the ingredients and knew right then that the other 3 cans are going to be put down the drain and the $6 that I spent was a waste. Unless Virgil's goes back to the pre 2020's recipe I will not be a customer ever again. This is a sad day for what used to be a fantastic root beer if not the best.

I love the zero calories and No Aspartame! No nasty aftertaste. However I prefer monk fruit sweetener over stevia but beggars can’t be choosy!! I wish Trader Joe’s in Germantown would carry the zero again along with the regular root beer.
